Overview
Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) is the missing link in delivering successful change. It’s internationally accredited by APMGroup, and designed to lift the game of practicing and aspiring programme managers. It provides those responsible for managing programmes with a best practice approach applicable to any type of organizational transition or programme. It can only be delivered by an APM Group accredited training company.
It is an advanced programme management framework to help you to deliver the business benefits sought from large scale change.
Global Project Performance is one of the first training organisations delivering this training in Holland.
What is Programme Management (MSP)?
A programme is made up of a set of projects and other activities identified by an organization. Together these will deliver some defined strategic level objective, or set of objectives that will enable benefit realization and a substantial change in the business.
A programme can only do well if the projects within it succeed. The concept of a programme is that it should be more than the ‘sum of its parts’. In other words, without Programme Management, the projects would probably still be able to deliver their particular outcomes but these would not be co-ordinated or integrated into the achievement of a strategic goal.
MSP is a principled driven programme management framework for implementing business strategies and large scale change, where there is a "vision" of the programme’s outcome – a transformed organisation. The path to achieving the vision may deviate and change direction. The vision itself may require adapting as work progresses and individual projects orbit around their approved plans. Programme Management helps to organize, manage, accommodate and control these changes so that the eventual outcome meets the objectives set by the business strategy. The MSP guide comprises of a set of Principles, Transformational Flows and Governance Themes for managing a programme successfully. Additional information can be found on www.apmgroup.co.uk
